IRON MOUNTAIN THEATRE FUNDRAISER.
JOIN US at the Flying Steamshovel between 6-9 and get a burger and beer for $15. Stick around for the Tuques and dance yourself silly.
We at IMT realize that there is another fundraiser that night in Rossland but everyone has to eat, so why not try to do it all. After all, two great events in one night sound like lots of fun to us. We wish we could do both!!!
IMT launched its way into the world this weekend and what better way than through Rossland’s own Golden City Days. Iron Mountain Theatre participated in the parade on Rossland’s Columbia Avenue, got folks singing on stage with karaoke in Sour Dough Alley, sold raffle tickets for amazing prizes from local businesses including artwork, Pacific Coastal flights, accommodation, gift certificates and celebrated with their 8-minute musical performance of A Tribute to Mining at the Red Feather Saloon. What a weekend! Special thanks to Aaron Cosbey and Don Mortimer for their stunning performances and Al Eagleton for being such a generous all-round good guy.
Major Project Funding Received
We are very excited to hear that we have recently been approved for grant funding throught the Columbia Kootenay Cultural Alliance and are working hard to make our two newest original musical theatre works huge successes. Yeeha! Here we go folks. Watch out because you have four very motivated performer/writers who are unstoppable and are dedicated to changing the musical theatre world forever.
RJ’s in town
Also, we welcome to Rossland, RJ Peters, a professional musical theatre performer and friend from Toronto who we look forward to working with on these projects. It is really exciting to have so many talented people around to work with and we can’t wait to share our skills with local and far reaching audiences.
Bottle Drive
Thanks to all those who generously donated to our bottle drive. We had a great time and are that much closer to our fundraising goal. Special thanks to Chantal for helping sort in the pouring rain under her tent. You saved us from this horrible spring weather.
