White Star Lady is one-woman musical about the life and adventures of Ms. Violet Jessop. A stewardess aboard ocean liners for 43 years, her experiences at sea are unequalled by anyone in her position. The majority of her years were spent working for the White Star Line, and she was aboard all three of the ill-fated sister ships: RMS Olympic, RMS Titanic, and HMHS Britannic. The personal stories of these incidents, as well as a thoroughly researched account of the life and character of Violet Jessop, are all documented in this unique and engaging musical production
Created and performed by Jane Gaudet, written by Mark Pollard with music by Nadine Tremblay, this creation is made possible thanks to The Columbia Basin Trust, Trail and District Arts Council and the Rossland Council for Arts and Culture. White Star Lady is Directed by RJ Peters.

I regret only two things after last night’s performance of White Star Lady in Kaslo. First, that I didn’t realize that Nadine Tremblay was the woman in the booth when I was sharing with the three of you my admiration for this whole production. Secondly, I regret that I did not get to meet and thank Jane G. for her part in your creation. All four of you, in my view, have created a musical-and-visual whole of remarkable power and professionalism. I hope this play, and particularly your production of it, gets years of life and multiple adaptations.

I just saw White Star Lady at the Arts Station in Fernie and it was fabulous! It made me welly-eyes, it made me laugh, and it held me breathless a few times. I also brought my young daughter who was spell-bound by Jane’s incredible performance. Thank you for this awesomeness!
